We’re Back with ColdFusion 10 Beta

February 29th, 2012 · 3 Comments

The 2DDU podcast has returned in 2012, with an in depth discussion of all thew new bits and pieces that can be found in the public beta release of ColdFusion 10!

We go through all the new functionality we can find documented about ColdFusion 10, and discuss which pieces we like, don't like, love and hate, and what sort of use cases we can think of for each of them.

If you haven't had a chance to play with the public beta yet, this should be an interesting listen, and even if you have - Listen anyway! :)

As always, comments and questions are welcome!

Funny that we’re *still* talking about cfscript not being a first class citizen. It’s also funny that one of the best examples of why we tend to stick to tag based components is good old cfquery…

Personally, I’d use script based components in a heart beat if I could do queries in script like this:

The ER I filed originally got marked as “verified” and targeted for CF10 Beta 2, however the latest status says that it won’t make it into CF10 :(

Great podcast guys. I especially like that you don’t agree with each other on every point. Enlightening info on figure skating scoring too.

…way to work figure skating in there Kai!

Challenge: work minority sport references in to your shows!

    …and I for one didn’t know 6.0 was the highest score…
